coconut chutney with step by step photos. this coconut chutney is prepared along with coriander, so coriander coconut chutney. coriander coconut chutney excellently goes with rice idli dosa chapati. in andhra it is known as kobbari pachadi. in some regions it is also known as kothimira pachadi, nariyal chutney. this chutney recipe has very easy process and its taste is very delicious as we are adding tamarind and sugar.

always use fresh coconut and coriander. but as we are adding coconut in the chutney we have to consume it with in hours from the preparation time, if we store in the fridze it will be good for eight hours or so. some times i will prepare this chutney for lunch time when there are no vegetables at home. coconut and coriander are very nice combination. this coriander nariyal chutney is a very good alternative for regular dosa chutney.

 how to make coconut chuntey for dosa rice roti idli

  1. Wash & chop the coriander leaves.
  2. Cut the coconut into small pieces.
  3. Heat a kadai add oil, after oil gets heated add green chilly, cumin seeds & coriander seeds and fry for few seconds.
  4. Now add coriander leaves ,tamarind & fry for 3 – 4 min.
  5. Take a mixy add coconut pieces, sugar, tamarind, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, slat , green chilly & make them into fine paste if you want add small amount of water.
  6. Now serve this yummy chutney.
  7. You can have this tasty chutney with  rice idli roti dosarice/idly/roti/dosa.

kobbari chutney ingredients:

  1. Coriander leaves – ½ of big bunch
  2. Coconut pieces – ½ shell of small coconut
  3. Salt – 1 tbsp (as per your taste)
  4. Coriander seeds – 1/4th tbsp
  5. Cumin seeds – 1/4th tbsp
  6. Sugar – ½ tbsp (as per your taste)
  7. Tamarind – 2 inch
  8. Green chilly – ½ of big green chilly
  9. Oil – 1 tbsp
  10. Water
