i am showing these aloo paratha with wheat flour. i did these aloo paratha with left over aloo curry. you can do this parathas with fresh aloo curry too. We can have this aloo paratha as a breakfast or light meal or snack or dinner. This aloo paratha are very delicious, every one will enjoys the taste.

i have shown the easy process to prepare the stuffing if you want you can smash with hand too. actually i will do bulk quantity of this potato curry for parathas and to have along with roti or rice. i am big fan for this aloo coconut masala paratha.

how to prepare aloo paratha recipe

stuffing for aloo paratha:

  1. Take a mixy jar add ground nuts, coconut pieces, coriander seeds, garlic, cumin seeds, slat, chilly powder & make them into paste (kacha bacha).
  2. Take a mixy jar add ground nuts, coconut pieces, coriander seeds, garlic, cumin seeds, slat, chilly powder & make them into paste (kacha bacha).
  3. Add the potato pieces and fry for few seconds.Now add water and pressure cook for 3 whistles.

aloo paratha preparation:

  1. Take bowl add wheat flour, salt, sugar, ghee and mix well.
  2. Knead the dough by adding water and knead very well (dough should be soft).
  3. Keep it aside for 10 min.
  4. In the mean time take a mixy jar, add left over curry and once run the mixy and switch off.Heat a kadai add oil, after oil gets hot add onions & fry for 1 – 2 min.
  5. Now add these fried onions to the above curry & mix well.
  6. Divide the dough & stuffing mixture into desired sized balls.
  7. Keep the dough ball on the board and roll upto you got 3 inches height.
  8. Keep the stuffing ball at the centre and cover the stuffing ball fully by pulling the edges of the dough.
  9. Make into a round ball.
  10. Now roll the paratha up to your desired thickness and length.
  11. Heat tawa and apply ghee on tawa and place paratha on tawa, now apply ghee on upper side of the paratha.
  12. Now flip the paratha to the other side after you got bubbles.
  13. Cook the paratha up to you got nice golden color spots on both the sides.
  14. Do same for the rest of the dough.
  15. Have this delicious aloo paratha with your family.

  1. Wheat flour  – 1 cup
  2. Sugar  – 1 tbsp
  3. Ghee – 2 – 3 tbsp
  4. Water  – nearly to ½ cup
  5. Salt  – 1 tbsp

Ingredients used for aloo stuffing

  1. Potato or aloo – 3 medium
  2. Ground nuts – 3 tbsp
  3. Coconut pieces – 12 pieces
  4. Garlic – 4 pods
  5. Salt – 1 ½ tbsp (as per your taste)
  6. Chilly powder – 1 ½ tbsp (as per your taste)
  7. Oil – 3 tbsp
  8. Water – 1/4th cup
  9. Turmeric powder – 1/4th tbsp
  10. Coriander seeds – ½ tbsp
  11. Cumin seeds – ½ tbsp
