paneer gravy goes excellent with indian breads like chapati, roti, naan, paratha, fried rice, pulao. Use nice firm paneer to get an nice look and taste to the paneer masala recipe. I usually prepare this paneer gravy on holidays. Paneer is a packed with protiens so it is one of the healthy ingredients which should be included in our diet especially for vegetarians.

The paneer butter masala gravy is prepared by tomatoes, onion, dry fruits like almonds and cashews, and along with some indian spices, I have used some of indian spices according to your taste you can add some spices to paneer curry for chapathi. If you want you can add more cashews instead of almonds and cashews to the curry paste, sometimes I will add only cashews no problem in taste wise.

I am showing a very easiest way to prepare this paneer recipe. This paneer butter masala is most popular in Indian restaurant menus / parties.

  1. Cut the paneer into desired shapes.
  2. Take a mixy jar add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, poppy seeds, cardamom seeds(remove the shell of elachi), salt, chilly powder, cloves, cinnamon, turmeric powder, shahjeera, onions, ginger & garlic, cashews, almonds, tomato pieces and make them into fine paste with the help of water.
  3. Heat a mini pressure cooker or kadai , add butter then add flower & above gravy, fry the gravy until it oozes out oil from its surroundings.
  4. Now add paneer and fry for 1 – 2 minutes gently.
  5. Now add water and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  6. Add cream after you switched off the flame & mix once.
  7. Enjoy this tasty and mouth watering Paneer butter masala gravy curry with naan or roti or rice.

  • Onions        – 3 medium
  • Tomato – 2 small
  • Almonds – 12
  • Cashews – 10
  • Cardamom – 2 pods
  • Cloves – 4
  • Cinnamon – 2 inches
  • Ginger & garlic – 1tbsp
  • Coriander seeds – ½ tbsp
  • Cumins seeds – ½ tbsp
  • Sahjeera – ½ tbsp p
  • Salt -1 ½  (as per your taste)
  • Chilly powder – 1- 1 ½ tbsp (as per your taste)
  • Poppy seeds –  1 tbsp
  • Butter – 3 tbsp
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Water – 1/4th cup
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4th tbsp
  • Dagad phool / Flower – 1
  • Cream – 1 ½ tbsp

    PANEER BUTTER MASALA

    Note:

    • Add only firm panner to do this paneer curry.
    • If you want you can add oil instead of butter (in case if you did not have butter) & milk instead of cream.
    • If you prepare this curry in kadai then you need more quantity of water (more than ½ glass).
    • You have to stir the curry for every 2-3 min until paneer pieces gets cooked.
