how to make semiya payasam recipe

  1. To prepare coconut milk, take a mixy jar add coconut pieces and water (1/2 cup) and run the mixy for few min until you get nice thick liquid.
  2. Heat a kadai add ghee, after ghee melts then add dry fruits & fry for few seconds.
  3. Now add vermicelli & fry them until they little brown color.
  4. Add coconut milk & remaining ½ cup of water and mix thoroughly.
  5. Now boil it until semiya gets cooked.
  6. Now add cardamom & sugar and boil it for 3 – 4 min.Switch off the flame.
  7. Now you can enjoy this awesome taste of payasam.

  • Semiya – 80 grams
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 90 grams
  • Coconut pieces – 20 – 25 small pieces (half shell of small coconut)
  • Dry fruits (cashews, almonds, kismis)

  • Cardamom – 2 pods
