For this dosa no fermentation required, we can prepare instantly. Chutney also not required for this dosa.  as we are adding chilly powder directly into the dosa batter.

this wheat dosa also called as goduma dosa, atta dosa, godumai dosa. given measurements in the curry suits for people for breakfast or snacks. always chop the onions into very fine pieces so that onions also will cook easily. i will always prepare this goduma dosa on non stick pan. if you want chuntey for this dosa then you can have with almond chutney, peanut chutney, tomato chuntey.

usually i will prepare this batter instantly, but when i have any planned busy morning then i will prepare this instant dosa batter and keep in the fridze. but before 1 hour you have to take this batter from fridze, so that the coolness of the batter will go. first mix all the ingredients then add water other wise chilly powder wont get mix nicely it will form nice very small lumps. make sure you have to mix the batter nicely always before pouring the batter on the dosa pan.i will add oil before and after adding the batter on the pan to avoid dosa sticking to the pan.

Ingredients used in wheat dosa recipe

  1. Wheat flour or atta or goudma pindi-1/2  cup
  2. Rice flour -1/2  cup
  3. Water as required
  4. Salt -1 ½ tbsp (as per your taste)
  5. Chilly powder -1 ½ tbsp (as per your taste)
  6. Jeera  -1/4th tbsp
  7. Onion -1 medium and should be chopped into very fine pieces
  8. Oil

  • Chop the onions into very small pieces.
  • Take a bowl add both the flours, chilly powder, salt, jeera, onion and mix well.

  • Make a thin batter (as shown in pic) with the help of water.

  • Heat a dosa pan on stove, after pan got hot pour few drops of oil and spread that oil over the pan with the help of spoon or spatula. make sure you have to mix the batter nicely always before pouring the batter on the dosa pan.i will add oil before and after adding the batter on the pan to avoid dosa sticking to the pan.
  • Pour the batter on pan starting from the border of the pan to the middle with the help of large spoon.
  • Again add the oil around the borders of the dosa.

  • Flip the other side after one side is cooked (if the border came little golden color then you can flip).

  • After the other part of the dosa is cooked and remove from the pan and serve.
